jetAudio Customizing / Change the Skin
.
jetAudio´s interface can be changed with skins.
You can choose between several custom skins or you can create an own skin,
Read here for how to build an skin.

Note 1: jetAudio 7 is downwards compatible with jetAudio version 6 and jetAudio version 5 skin files, but it can NOT read jetAudio version 4 or lower skin files.

Note 2. Not all available skins are full skinned. The most of them are main-window skinned only.
Some skins are pretty much skinned , all windows, and play modes, like the toolbar are skinned - but note, that in jetAudio 7 is an new play mode called "media-canter". If you have downloaded an older skin, any windows could be skinned but you will see the default skin for the media-canter. )
It depends on the skin developer, which windows he wants to skin or not, so any windows, he doesn´t skinned will be displayed as the  default "gunmetal skin" of Cowon. For now, there are just 2 complete skinned jetAudio 7 interfaces (Aero Gadget and Spiderman Skin )

How to change the Skin ?

First Step: Download an skin from here:

Step 2: Install the skin.

Normally, downloadable skin files are compressed and packed in *.rar or *.zip files.
You need WINRAR or another compatible tool to unpack the skin files.
Good file management tools, like SPEED COMMANDER can also handle compressed files.

Open the downloaded file with your unpack tool.

If there is an "Read me" or an Help file contained, then read it first for more details !

If there is an *:exe file contained in the installing directory, then double click it, follow the displayed instructions from the install window and proceed with step 3.

Otherwise, you will find one ore more *.jsk files in the skin pack directory. These are the jetAudio skin files.
Now copy the *.jsk skin files into the jetAudio skin directory on your hard disc.
Normally, the default jetAudio skin directory is located in "C:\programs\jetAudio\skins"

If you find an "FONT" directory or any *.TTF files in the Installing directory, then the skin needs special fonts for the skin design.. Copy the contained *.ttf fonts into the windows font directory ( norm. "C:\Windows\Fonts\" ) and reboot windows.

Step 3:
Select the skin from the jetAudio skin browser.

To choose an new skin, you have to go into the skin browser.
Depending on the skin you use, the "skin" button can be located anywhere on the interface.
At the default skin, the "skin" button you´ll find top left beside the "always on top" and the "preferences" icon:

If you can´t find a skin button, at the skin you use , you can take the "Alt+S"keyboard shortcut,
or you can right-click at the skin and choose "skin..." from the mouse context menu:

1.) The listing off all the skins you have installed on your jetAudio system.
2.) This window shows an small preview image of the selected skin
3.) This button opens your web browser and brings you to the old cowon skin website. You´ll find just a few old jetAudio skins there, so if you want more skins, its better to use the Media-Play download site, where you´ll find all new and old jetAudio skins and more jetAudio stuff. If you are interested in new skins in development, you can read here, where the skin builders discuss the new skin designs.
4.) Confirm your choice by pressing the "OK" Button or cancel it and close the Browser by clicking the "Cancel" Button.
